之前小编分享过《Windows Lite是什么系统》而现在又过去了很长一段时间，一直没有Windows Lite系统的消息，而在台北2019电脑展上，微软提出了最近一些有关“modern OS”现代系统的详细信息，表明他们仍在努力完善操作系统。
目前微软还未承认并公布Windows Lite的功能，但据开发者WalkingCat挖掘爆料，确认微软将允许在Windows Lite上使用Win32应用程序。该操作系统主要面向教育行业和企业，对于未知来源的应用十分谨慎，因此有消息称Windows Lite只支持UWP应用。
根据WalkingCat的发现，该系统存在Win32桌面模式的ComposableShell，WCOS StateSeperation有些类似Windows Embedded/IoT的UWF，它重定向文件/注册表的IO操作以保持系统分区清洁/只读。

不过离Windows Lite系统的发布似乎还有很长一段路要走，具体发布正式版是什么样的，我们还不得而知。
